The el8 and el9 geany-1.38 packages are great, but this one hasn't worked. For some weird reason the user interface, the outer window frame, and all the IDE's dialogs have gone "GNOME" style which makes Geany useless. In fact whole settings windows have gone completely missing, and everything else has been scattered to places impossible to find. The toolbar seems to be gone although I didn't put any effort into trying to locate if somewhere it was possible to turn it back on. Anyway... long story short... rolled back to 1.36 on RHEL7. The GNOME UI is basically a disaster area, and its shortcomings most evident on an IDE where you need stuff to be accessible in logical locations. For me this update is unusable.
