On this EL6 host I'm running a lighttpd instance with a slightly different configuration than on my EL7 host. In particular, I don't have mod_auth enabled. Here I noticed that if I enable mod_auth, lighttpd does not start because it can't find /usr/lib64/lighttpd/mod_authn_mysql.so. Disabling the module made lighttpd start again. Note that I have never had the lighttpd-mod_authn_mysql subpackage installed. This worked fine with lighttpd-1.4.42-3. In addition, this server has SCGI enabled and I ran into https://redmine.lighttpd.net/issues/2762

The lighttpd-mod_authn_mysql subpackage was created as of this release, at upstream's request, as was one for gssapi.
This update has been obsoleted by lighttpd-1.4.43-2.el6.
