(Sorry if this is a doublepost, I tried to submit it yesterday but I don't see the message today.) Moez and spot, can you please give feedback on whether this 2014.2.15-6 package actually works on EL7 ? It is the latest available in the EPEL repo for EL7; I haven't looked at EPEL-testing for EL7. The EL6 update to 2014.2.15-6 was broken, and the same for 2014.2.15-7, with some anecdotal success for 2014.2.15-8 over in EL6 ... but EL7 never got either of those later upgrades. Should EL7 be using the 2014.2.15-8 codebase, like EL6 ? The note from Jean-Pierre Andre in the ntfs3g upstream seemed to imply that only 'some' kernels (presumably including 2.6.32 as used in EL6 distros) would have problems with the 2014.2.15-6 codebase... maybe EL7 kernel 3.10 is exempt? He did not give details about which kernel-versions were and weren't impacted. Is there a test-suite I can download, for use on a scratch partition, before I risk enabling this package on production NTFS datasets? Thanks. I'll go ahead and build an epel7 package that has this fuse kernel fix inside of it. I don't think RHEL7's kernel exhibits the issue that the patch fixes, but it can't hurt to do it.
