An update of Kile to the latest upstream release, version 3.0 beta 4 (2.9.94). This version now uses Qt 6 and KDE Frameworks 6, so it is compatible with the versions of Okular and Konsole shipped in Fedora 40. (Kile embeds the OkularPart and the KonsolePart through the KParts technology. That only works if they are based on the same versions of Qt and KDE Frameworks as Kile.) Hence, this update fixes the failure to compile and the failure to start on Fedora 40.
Updates may require up to 24 hours to propagate to mirrors. If the following command doesn't work, please retry later:
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2024-49d324d353

Getting this error when trying to install
Grrr, not understandable why they do not have a versioned Provides for
konsole-part
anymore, since it is clear that the different major versions are not interchangeable. I am going to fix the Requires, but it is really thekonsole
package that is broken.KParts need to be shipped for the different major versions. The KDE SIG is no longer doing that. They dropped the kdelibs4 and KF5 KonsolePart and are shipping only the KF6 one, which breaks applications. And they do not even include a versioned Provides so the application cannot even state which version it requires, so when Plasma 7 will hit, this will silently break as we have already seen with the OkularPart.
