The new mangohud-mangoplot subpackage installs 320 additional packages, totaling over 200MB. Wow! Most of them are perl and texlive packages. Can you please consider changing Recommends: mangohud-mangoplot to Suggests: mangohud-mangoplot? I don't think that most people installing mangohud will want to plot graphs, and the dependency chain seems to be too huge to be installed automatically for everyone. What do you think?
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
@kparal i talked exact about this with Flathub maintainer and this is insane. In Arch they even hard depend on these packages IIRC. At first i also wanted to package it with Suggests but Suggests means they are will never used and never discovered by users. I already encountered this before in Fedora and disappointed users.
But i like your suggestion and also think we should drop this huge amount of deps. 😃 New Update soon.
Thanks, @atim, for changing this in mangohud-0.7.0-6.fc39. I don't think this won't be discoverable. If you use dnf and run dnf search mangohud, you'll find it. If you use GUI, a desktop file can be added to mark mangoplot as an extension/addon, and then it will show up in gnome-software quite visibly. Care to add it?
Additionally, if you know about that feature and looking specifically for it, you'll again find it easily enough. If you don't know about that feature, you probably don't need it. Using Recommends doesn't really help people to discovered it anyway, right? It just adds a binary to /usr/bin, but it doesn't make it obvious in any way that it can be used. So using Suggests here is I believe the better approach.

Users could just blinly try to invoke this mangoplot after they read about some tip on Reddit, from friend, on YouTube etc. But in this case i hope at least DNF could auto-suggest to install this additional stuff. So hope not a big problem in this case.
As for writing AppData manifest with extension would be nice works with upstream and Flathub maintainers. This is good idea for future.
