./runtests.sh
PASS with the kernel-6.3.12-200.fc38.x86_64 builds within a kvm/qemu VM (KDE spin, up to date with all testing repos of F38 enabled) with CPU-passthrough on a AMD Ryzen 6850 PRO host. No third party modules/software (tainted = 0).I tested the VM some minutes with average activities, works fine so far. No errors/issues when using it.
Occurrence of Fedora BZ#2193110 / kernel BZ#217528 not yet tested (only VM test so far: my VM is not affected by the bug).
Occurrence of Fedora BZ#2218590 not yet tested (my VM is not affected by the bug).
This update's test gating status has been changed to 'failed'.
Both tests pass. HP 400 G6 Mini, i5-10400T, CometLake-S GT2 [UHD 630].
Working in a VirtualBox VM and on native H/W.

Works.
Default & performance tests pass (KVM)
Works great on Lenovo T480! LGTM! =)
Appears to resolve the black screen issue that occurred with AMD on some laptops in 6.3.9, 6.3.10 and 6.3.11.
I'm I right to assume this already part of .11? https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/new-stackrot-linux-kernel-flaw-allows-privilege-escalation/
I mean the fix :)

@igarcia1089 confirmed here as well and also with 6.4.2-201 which is built for the kernel test week.
I've just read that the fix has now been merged https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/2658#note_1979350

Interesting I am having the only one with this issue? I am worried others will experience something similar since it will hit stable now. How can I provide logs (the system doesn't boot at all stuck at LENOVO logo)
here is the issue: https://i.imgur.com/jvBDBpP.jpeg

@miniprise: The picture says kernel 6.4.3-200.fc38.x86_64?
yeah you are right @robatino I just tested further releases to see if may fixed but its not. here is the screenshot for this exact release (its the same error) https://i.imgur.com/nGBIljo.jpeg

After the update to 6.3.12 Fedora 38 is having some random freezes here. With Ryzen 7 5700G.
Also seen two freezes on an Ryzen 3500U after updating from 6.3.8 to 6.3.12 (Thinkpad T495). Going back to 6.3.8 did not show another freeze so far.
Same here with AMD Ryzen 7 5800U. System freezes shortly after start.
Same with 5800h Vega 8. Problem was before 6.3.12 - 11. Hang on boot / restart / shutdown / and in general use like browsing internet, reading something, writing. Right now i am on 6.2.x branch, and working without any problem.
Perhaps might be worth pushing 6.4.3 for testing as it seems to be ready in Koji?
6.4.3 should be in testing soon, 6.3.13 is EOL.
Not sure, but fixes for the AMD problem appear to be in 6.5 kernel, unsure if they can be backported yet.
EOL means that 6.3.14 won't be released. It shouldn't mean than 6.3.13 isn't usable kernel.
6.3.13 has been in koji for 6 days now, but has not been pushed to either pending or testing.
6.4.3 was the kernel for the test week that ended a few days ago, quite possibly we will see 6.4.3 and the associated header and tools packages soon.
I don't know if either of these versions will fix this AMD GPU problem (I have no AMD hardware), from what I have seen any fixes seem to be part of changes to come in 6.5 that cannot be backported until they are in Linus' tree.
Hang on boot / restart / shutdown no problems in usage.
Lenovo T14 Gen 1 AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U with Radeon Graphics
The fix is queued for 6.4.4 and I'm guessing that will be the next one in Bodhi. See https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/2658#note_2004564 .
Cool, let's hope that'll sort it. Cheers
Good news, and typical that this is a simple 2 line patch but has taken a while to land.
The 6.4.4 Koji builds for F37 and F38 are running. The changelog shows a bunch of AMD fixes for 6.4.3 as well so maybe they all interact.
6.4.4 works on my Thinkpad Edge from 2013
Same, 6.4.4.200 F38 working good. I was testing everything like stress, reboot, shutdown and sleep mode.
6.4.4 is in Bodhi now: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-e4e985b5dd
Frequent freezes with Fedora 38
The cursor and the screen get stuck, and the last half of second of audio goes in loop, nothing responds. About 30 seconds later, the system shuts down and reboots.
These freezes occur four times a day and more.

Same happens with kernel kernel-6.5.0-0.rc2.17.fc39: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-7dbd88992a
