why is this package pulling in ALL of the pythons as a "Recommends" dependency?! This ends up pulling in the WORLD when casually installing packages that pull this package in. Please fix this. This is a bug in the requirements for all variations of this package for FC 33, 34, 35, 36, etc.
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
I don't know. I only noticed it when qdarkstyle started pulling in absolutely the entire 1.7GB Universe of Python. It made me realize the whole way that "recommends" get auto-installed is dangerously flawed.
Tox works with "whatever you go installed" already. There is no reason for it to recommend ALL OF THE PYTHONS. Nobody wants ALL OF THE PYTHONS.
Anyway you do what you like but please fix the qdarkstyle thing at least (in the other thread).
Yes, I noticed there is a PR already for qdarkstyle.
As for tox -- Why do you need to install all the pythons? I have tox installed on my system now (via pypi / aka pip) and I don't have all of the pythons. It seems to me distribution packages should be at least as good or better and producing lean and mean installs... no?
You don't need to. It just does that by default. In my opinion, this is better for producing more complete installs (by default, you can always opt-out). Anyway, this update is not the platform o discuss this. Use https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Python#Communicate please.

This was the case even before this update. Or do you see a regression?

Yes, we do need all the Pythons. qdarkstyle needs to be fixed nevertheless.
