It might be just placebo, but trackpoint now feels more precise (it was way too fast even for small movements in older releases). It's still too fast for larger movements, but that likely can't be solved until we can configure its speed independently from mouse/touchpad in gnome settings. Also it still feels like running in 30 Hz, but that might be a hardware limitation.
