After updating this package and opening the Syncthing webui, I was prompted for a password that I never set. I had to manually edit ~/.config/syncthing/config.xml in order to remove the password.
Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
Are you sure that this is caused by this update, and not by some peculiarity of your local configuration? I tested this update on three different machines (two desktops, one headless server), and it didn't cause any issues.
I am admittedly not 100% sure, but I was never prompted for a password to open the webui until after updating. Perhaps this change1 is related?
That's the only distantly-related change I see between this version and the last, but it should not pre-set any GUI authentication for you, if you already had syncthing set up before. This also didn't happen on any of my machines ... but I'll let this update sit in updates-testing for now, maybe somebody else has this problem too.
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
This update has been in testing for three weeks (and in f34-stable for two weeks), and nobody else seems to have hit this problem. I'll push it to stable (since I'll build 1.18.6 tomorrow anyway).
