Plasma Update to version 5.23.2
This update backports two upstream fixes related to the PackageKit package source. One prevents the list of repositories from being rebuilt (causing a page refresh, and possibly causing the order of repositories to change) every time you enable or disable one. The other should prevent a problem where the state of a package was not correctly updated after it was installed or removed, meaning you could not then remove it or re-install it (respectively) without restarting the application.
Updates may require up to 24 hours to propagate to mirrors. If the following command doesn't work, please retry later:
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2021-f7d19c8901

There's a dnf error with kwin when trying to update. kwin, plasma-workspace, plasma-breeze, kde-cli-tools, kde-gtk-config, kdeplasma-addons, khotkeys, kmenuedit, kscreen, ksystemstats, plasma-browser-integration, plasma-desktop, plasma-integration, plasma-systemmonitor, plasma-systemsettings, powerdevil, and maybe other Plasma packages are missing from the update. 5.23.2 F35 builds of those packages don't appear in koji. I reported this problem at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2018846

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.
SDDM login to Plasma (Wayland) fails; lost ability to move/resize windows under X11
This update has been obsoleted.
Same error as @imabug and @fuller

Karma has been reset.
Seems to be working ok. Does a separate update need to be made since this one has been obsoleted?

This update has obsoleted plasma-discover-5.23.0-5.fc35, and has inherited its bugs and notes.
@fuller @geraldosimiao are your issues resolved now?
@adamwill must wait go to testing, too many packages for do it manually here, I'm afraid to miss some.
Works.

This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
Now everything seems to be working fine, at X11 and wayland too. Bugs fixed here.
smooth sailing
Looks good - thanks
SDDM login to Plasma (Wayland) fails.
SDDM login to Plasma (Wayland) fails with "nvidia driver" but with "nouveau driver" it works
Casual use of X11 and Wayland systems seem to work just fine on my laptop (Intel graphics).
Smooth update, Wayland works with Radeon graphics.
works with nvidia optimus on X11 but on wayland systemd fails to start plasma workspace and causes black screen( also happens on kde 5.22.5 since nvidia 495 update)
LGTM on AMD graphics and X11 session. SDDM didn't tested.
kwin_wayland crashes when trying to login into wayland session via SDDM. Output from
journalctl --user -b
: https://paste.sr.ht/blob/2eda1fc9ded14a3e17f39a2dd53d8da6e51bff0eWayland with external display still has glitches, X11 still works.
Seems like, I hit a bug fixed in 5.23.3, judging by this commit: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/commit/c4c03e2559f1ecf6f80ae965230bf0a19e17e210
It guards a function call of
glDrawBuffer
insideEglGbmBackend::makeContextCurrent
, if the function is not available.according to this post : https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/qjv78s/nvidia_49544_wayland/hiuzo6g/
kde wayland needs this qt5 patch to work on nvidia : https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtwayland/+/373473
This also fixes #2013626
