The packages update and function normally for me in a Live VM running Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-34-20210421.n.0 - but I do not have a real system to reproduce the system hang.
I very much hope people who ran into the system freeze while running dnf update in gnome can retest now.
Also particularly interested to know if the hang is still reproducible currently before this update, but I think even some of the previous packages in updates-testing already had the %posttrans or no scripts change.
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
I have tested this issue with two images on bare metal.

This update works for me.
Also tested for beta 1.3 image on bare metal

Observations:
I have tested the upgrade from F-33 to F-34 on Workstation-Live VM, it worked fine for me. Steps: 1. dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=34 --enablerepo=updates-testing 2. dnf system-upgrade reboot
I tried to dnf system-upgrade from Fedora 33, and then run dnf update --enablerepo=updates-testing from gnome-terminal.
It seems work now.
Tested updating Fedora-34 VM to F-34 RC-1.1 on VM.
Observations: Update was smooth, used RC-1.1 repo.

Thank you to the i18n members for the careful testing, and particularly to Vishal and Pooja for the detailed QA.
This LGTM.
