I'm seeing some weird constant load (10-40% CPU and around 1-3MB/s of disk activity) on plasmashell and krunner causing interface hangs.
Installed it yesterday from koji and everything was fine (multiple restarts, applying fresh updates-testing) until today, when (maybe) after
Looks to be krunner related - problem starts with anything written in it (indicator is constantly spinning) and stops when clearing input field or closing it (it seemed to happen also after closing krunner, but I haven't associated it before and looked that closely). Anybody else noticed that?
Now it seems better, no updates installed.
In the morning journalctl was spammed with hundreds of:
krunner[1808]: kf.service.services: The desktop entry file "/usr/share/applications/qemu.desktop" has Type= "Application" but no Exec line
krunner[1808]: kf.service.sycoca: Invalid Service : "/usr/share/applications/qemu.desktop"
I temporarily modified /usr/share/applications/qemu.desktop but the main issue persisted.
After a power off and on, krunner works fine, but ksysguard and sytem-settings opened with it seem unthemed. This popped up in journal after starting ksysguard (closed just before opening Terminal, by the end of below log) from krunner:

We really need more than 2 days of testing between submission and when big updates like this go stable (may need to disable autokarma for plasma updates for posterity).
100% CPU on kwin_x11, high CPU (20-30%) on krunner and plasmashell (radeon graphics related?) - basically unusable.
On my Laptop (intel igpu) it's fine though (0-1% CPU for everything on idle).
Correction: Problems only appear to ensue after using krunner. Then it's mostly krunner and plasmashell with high CPU. Killing krunner quiets everything down again.
@rudi3 I had this issue on intel gpu. Start krunner from terminal and watch it's output. Maybe it's related to some indexing issue? It stopped happening before I've had time to troubleshoot.
@ozesty mine too are intel (cpu and gpu).
I think the problem it's some Krunner plug-in (I suspect the orthography one or other related to the plasma shell) I'm investigating that to open a proper bug report.
@ozeszty might well be. I switched launchers, but right now I can't reproduce it either - even with web shortcuts enabled. I'm just running it from a console to test it now - so the environment might be different. I dis- and reenabled web search keywords, but I don't think that that was what fixed it. If it's indexing-related, clearing krunner history might fix it as well? I had a similar issue with akonadi some time ago - deleting the db fixed it (wasn't using it anyway).

Works fine. I suggest rebooting the system after the upgrade.

Negative karma just in case, to stop automatic push.

works
@ozeszty I tested today, used all day. Indeed, I noticed exactly the strange behavior you described, only with krunner.

These updates have a broken dependency. How did this go into stable?
nothing provides kf5-plasma(x86-64) >= 5.78.0 needed by plasma-workspace-5.20.5-1.fc33.x86_64
The "broken depency" is another set of updates still on testing repo: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-b6c17b6872

The problem with Krunner lies on the web-shortcuts plugin. When I disable it the problems are gone.
opened bug on bugzilla and upstream too https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1914651 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431393
