Split the xorg-x11-server-utils package into individual packages. xorg-x11-server-utils is to be retired. Only one package (xsetpointer) has been dropped, the others are replacements for the ones with already-existing Provides: in xorg-x11-server-utils.
This update is intended to fix crash reporting in the installer's text mode by not having lorax remove /usr/bin/report-cli
from the installer environment any more.

The openQA failure here is because of a version problem with rgb. The rgb package in this update is
rgb-1.0.6-1.fc34
. However, the currentxorg-x11-server-utils
already has argb
subpackage, which is versionrgb-1.0.6-38.fc34
. The newly split-out package should be versioned higher than the current subpackage of xorg-x11-server-utils, I think.Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

Added
lorax
, it had a hidden dependency onxorg-x11-server-utils
, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1932754#c2After installing this update, running
dnf autoremove
lists some of these packages, is this a cause for concern?https://i.imgur.com/3H2E0II.png

The lorax build in this update needs to be replaced with
lorax-34.9-5.fc34
, but a Bodhi bug is preventing me from doing that at present.whot edited this update.

This update has obsoleted lorax-34.9-4.fc34, and has inherited its bugs and notes.
@adamwill: I've added the lorax build now, thanks
@jpenala: yeah, if you have nothing requiring these packages then you can remove them. most of the X ones you wouldn't have used in the last decade anyway, they were just there because of bundling.

@whot
Thanks, I auroremoved all, just to see if there are any regressions. Nothing drastic happened.
But, looks like removing
xsetroot
affects the mouse cursor: when running certain apps on wayland (i think those using xwayland) the cursor switches to the plain X11-cursor (X): https://i.imgur.com/bDCxPdI.pngI'm using KDE Spin and default Breeze cursors. Reinstalling
xsetroot
fixes the behaviour. This update has been pushed to testing.
@jpenala: probably best to file a bug against the KDE component (or better: that particular app) so they add the Requires to the spec file. Thanks
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
Works
