Works well, no regression spotted. 5.13.x Fixed amdgpu driver crash on KDE plasma login.

I saw that kernel 5.13.4 is out of the door.
This update's test gating status has been changed to 'passed'.
Default & performance regression tests PASS, libhugetlbfs & paxtest was skipped. Tested on x86_64, PRIME Z270-A, i5-7600K, 16GB DDR4, AMD RX 580 8GB (MESA 21.1.5-1) & 970 EVO M.2.
@ibims yes, it is building now, this update will be changed to include it.
@jforbes Thank you.
This build looks ok for me. Works on baremetal (non UEFI mode) AMD Ryzen5 3600, Mainboard MSI B450M Mortar Max with prop. nvidia driver from rpmfusion.org (GTX980 card). Works with Gnome-Desktop (Xorg). Regression test passed (paxtest, selinux-dac-controls and libhugetlbfs skipped). VirtualBox 6.1.24 from Oracle was released today and this is able to work with kernel 5.13.
Works for me.. The enabled Default and Performance tests pass OK.
Default & performance tests pass (KVM)

@baptu: It hasn't reached your updates-testing mirror yet, it should be there in a few hours.
Tested on Fedora 34 VM hosted on system with i3 1005g1 processor, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd.

Works for me: desktop 16GB Intel i7-3770 CPU & laptop 8GB Intel i5-2520M CPU Lenovo T420 (the desktop ran the performance test in 10m14s, laptop 9m34s -- it's extremely rare that the laptop is faster, normally the laptop takes 10 times longer!!!) - all using the Mate Desktop Environment
No issues with Ryzen 5900X, RX 6700XT. Performance test still took forever to complete, just like before :)
Camera feed from Camlink keeps freezing in Zoom, not sure if this is related to this fix or it's something else in this kernel: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=4c6e0976295add7f0ed94d276c04a3d6f1ea8f83
Working great on AMD Ryzen + nvidia card.
Breaks KDE Wayland. After SDDM all you get is a black screen with intermittent white flashes. KDE X11 appears to work properly however.
Noticed from a comment above that this had a AMD fix... it appears that this fix may have broken other things with AMD. I'm using: CPU: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6 4C+6G (4) @ 1.800GHz GPU: AMD ATI Radeon R5/R6/R7 Graphics
Opened bug for black screen issue reported above: 1984686 Also, this bug is occurring regardless of whether you are using SDDM or GDM, or Wayland GNOME or Wayland Plasma.
5.13.4 still has the black screen problem when starting Plasma and GNOME on Wayland involving the amdgpu driver that I reported for previous 5.13 kernels at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1981039 I found that the first bad commit was in the 5.13 merge window using git bisect: 1f928f51593ca07e2b125ca862fcff687e9e498b drm/amdgpu: Use physical translation mode to access page table
This problem seems similar to that reported by @gbcox Adding amdgpu.dc=0 to the kernel command line allowed Plasma and GNOME on Wayland to run correctly. The default regression tests passed.
@mattf thanks for posting the workaround here. I was aware of it, but on PTO and honestly was not given a heads up on the security issue coming, or I would have timed all of this differently. It is important to get this update out, I will be working on getting a proper fix in for the AMD issue over the weekend.
@mattf Thanks for the update. I tested with amdgpu.dc=0 and it circumvents the issue. I closed 1984686 as a duplicate of your ticket: 1981039. @jforbes, thanks for the update!
Works fine on Acer Aspire V3-571 v: V2.11 CPU: Quad Core Intel Core i7-3632QM GPU: Intel 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller KDE Plasma. No regressions found
This update has been pushed to stable.
Unclear if this is related to 1981039, but I'm seeing other weirdness around amdgpu with my RX 5500 XT. Symptoms include very laggy Firefox performance and the system crashing completely at times, particularly when playing video in Firefox.
5.12.17 does not exhibit these issues.
journalctl logs from a crash:
USB peripherals like mouse, keyboard won't work with this kernel. The monitor connected via lenovo dock works fine.
I am running a DELL G15se G5505 model and with the updated 5.13.4 kernel has issues booting. If I run the older 5.12.x releases then there is no issue.
The issue resides in booting the kernel and it stops with
fb0: switching to amdgpudrmfb from EFI GPU
It appears the console stops displaying commands but I am able to CTRL-ALT-F4 and use CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart and pick the older 5.12.x kernel from the grub boot menu.
I have logged in with Bugzilla via ticket:

Having kernel{,-core,-devel,-modules,-modules-extra} at .4 but kernel-{headers,tools,tools-libs} at .3 looks a bit unsusal and might even throw off some third party modules or tools.
