Let's backport performance patch? 😏 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1326
@atim that's already in 3.36.4 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/commit/44a3358125317dbe2151cf0ac70ec2c382236881
I had to uninstall this version of gnome-shell. it wasn't compatible with the one or more of the extensions I use. I know this because I was able to use gnome-shell under root account that has no extensions. But for my user account, I couldn't use the keyboard and it seemed like the shell was half in overview mode half out. I will try narrowing down which extension caused this issue. I use a bunch, like dash to dock, dash to panel. launch new instance, applications menu.
Seems to be fine, no noticeable problems. AMD Ryzen, Nvidia 2060 proprietary, latest kernel, xWayland.
Same issue as @toppk - I'm using Dash2Panel and it's ending in unusable state after trying to use app menu....
