Some icons cannot be shown in GNOME desktop environment after applying this update.
sorry, I commented to wrong version.
The icons seem to be fine as opposed to the previous update.
This update (from 1.12-2 to 1.13-1) on Fedora 30 breaks various icons in already running applications, for example the "new tab" icon of the gnome-terminal, most icons of the left pane of the gnome-control-center app. There's also a message "Could not load a pixbuf from icon theme.#012This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be found." in the log. Reverting to 1.12-2 fixes the problem.
of course 1.13.1-1 fixes the problem. sorry for the noise...

Some icons are missing, others are displayed much bigger. Also gnome extensions are broken. Happen with gnome wayland and xorg session. Downgrading to shared-mime-info-1.12-2.fc30.x86_64 fixes the issues.
1.13.1-1 works fine and fixes problem with 1.13.1. No need to downgrade to 1.12-2.

shared-mime-info-1.13.1-1.fc30.x86_64 seems ok

A lot of my desktop icons disappear in this version. Downgrading fixed the issue. Icons are missing from all over the place for standard Gnome stuff like the sidebar, the top bar and Nautilus. I use vanilla Gnome, no custom themes or anything.
This should be replaced with a working package pronto, because it breaks gnome pretty badly.

This version fixes icons (on KDE I only noticed issues in GTK apps) and backgrounds of Cinnamon elements (panels and menus that became transparent), that previous broke.
Er, version confusion there. 1.13-1 is broken, 1.13.1-1 is fine.
I just tested with 1.13.1-1 Like the other comments mention 1.13.1-1 is fine, 1.13-1 was broken.
This amended version, 1.13.1-1, is still problematic. Applying it made all the Mint-X theme icons disappear - I had Mint-X in use and the icons in use were heavily corrupted.
All the Mint-X icons had disappeared from the menu in the theme settings. Mint-Y icons were there, so I could change to those.
Downgrading to shared-mime-info-1.12-2.fc30 brought back the Mint-X icons. (For reference, I'm using the Fedora cinnamon spin)
