I have tried to compile the package by myself (rpmbuild ) but it ends with errors: 6 tests failed: test_exceptions test_gc test_io test_site test_traceback test_warnings
Is that a difference from the previous version? May I suggest using mock? https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Using_Mock_to_test_package_builds
@churchyard no, I've had problems before. I am familiar with mock, but it worries me that building the package doesn't work with rpmbuild.
Feel free to open a bugzilla report or a thread on the python-devel mailing list, discussing this over an unrelated update in Bodhi is not efficient.

Works fine and builds ok with mock on x86_64.
This update can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
