Yay! Off to testing. \o/

cannot install (mirror lag or broken dependency? )

Problem 1: cannot install the best update candidate for package mesa-libGL-18.0.2-1.fc28.x86_64

  • nothing provides libglvnd-glx(x86-64) >= 1:1.0.1-0.7 needed by mesa-libGL-18.0.5-1.fc28.x86_64

Problem 2: cannot install the best update candidate for package mesa-libGL-18.0.2-1.fc28.i686

  • nothing provides libglvnd-glx(x86-32) >= 1:1.0.1-0.7 needed by mesa-libGL-18.0.5-1.fc28.i686

Problem 3: package mesa-libGL-devel-18.0.5-1.fc28.x86_64 requires mesa-libGL(x86-64) = 18.0.5-1.fc28, but none of the providers can be installed

  • cannot install the best update candidate for package mesa-libGL-devel-18.0.2-1.fc28.x86_64

  • nothing provides libglvnd-glx(x86-64) >= 1:1.0.1-0.7 needed by mesa-libGL-18.0.5-1.fc28.x86_64

Bodhi is disabling automatic push to stable due to negative karma. The maintainer may push manually if they determine that the issue is not severe.

BROKEN !!!!

User Icon ozeszty commented & provided feedback 5 years ago

@xosevp it's fixed, but not yet mashed, pushed repositories and propagated to mirrors. Wait until libglvnd-1.0.1-0.7.git5baa1e5.fc28 is pushed to testing or download it manually from https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1092019

dnf list installed libglvnd* will show you which packages you need to download.

No regressions spotted with libglvnd updated manually on Intel Q45, 965GM, Ivy Bridge mobile/AMD Turks and AMD Oland (on xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu).

With the libglvnd update the update process works. We need to wait for the changes to be rolled into testing and then for the changes to propagate to the mirrors.

Sorry about the +1 before. Completely missed the fact that dnf skipped a whole bunch of stuff.

@ozeszty another option to upgrade from koji is using the command line tools (I am using x86_64):

cd tmp koji download-task --arch=x86_64 27617648 dnf upgrade * # to upgrade the dowloaded packages

dnf upgrade

BTW: the update is working well. Thanks. :-)

With libglvnd* in place all works as expected

The updated libglvnd did the trick. Thanks for the quick fix.

Installing the packages unblocks updates for mesa-libglapi, mesa-libGL and chromium. Tested chromium on https://www.wirple.com/bmark/ , all is good.

This update has been pushed to testing.

No regressions noted with Intel 4400 (with the updated libglvnd manually downloaded via Koji).

Thanks @jamatos, that'll save me some time, I knew only about bodhi client

bodhi updates download --updateid FEDORA-2018-bdfc438d3a

PS So far I assumed that bodhi would not download update that didn't yet reach repositories, I was so wrong...
