since this is a new package can we go ahead and push this to stable?
I believe we can do that as soon as beta freeze is over!
beta freeze is over as we are officially 'go' for releasing beta 1.4 images next tuesday. Also you don't have to worry about submitting it for stable and it accidentally going in. They don't let anything in they haven't explicitly requested, so submit it for stable whenever you like :)
