I'm seeing heavy display blinking on a standard spice+qxl VM. Anything moving on the screen causes it to blink to black for a split second and back again. Like a stroboscope effect. Also the mouse cursor is invisible most of the time.

@kparal: what DE/WM are you using? Gnome 3? I tested with XFCE and that worked fine for me. Presumably XFCE didn't tax DRM enough.
