Anyone else seeing ^@ painted on console login screen with this kernel? Is that kernel doing this or some other component that got picked up with current updates-testing?

User Icon dhgutteridge commented & provided feedback 7 years ago

No (new) regressions noted.

User Icon bojan commented & provided feedback 7 years ago

Yeah, it's the kernel nul bombing the console. Once I reverted to 4.12.14, that behaviour disappeared. It's only happening on my Atom based server (Shuttle XS35GT), but not on T450s. No idea why.

Otherwise appears to work.

User Icon bojan commented & provided feedback 7 years ago

Found the culprit: peaq_wmi kernel module. After I removed it, nul bombing to the console stopped.

Still having issues with Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller not working on Dell Latitude 3350. I get the following errors when booting:

[ 1.972457] pci 0000:00:1c.2: Error enabling bridge (-16), continuing
[ 1.973304] r8169 0000:03:00.0 (unnamed net_device) (uninitialized): enable failure

This is not an issue with other distros. Bugzilla #1409801 should be re-opened for Fedora 26.

Still having trouble with the RTL8723BE driver for Wifi while it should has been corrected in 4.13.4 : Kernel Release 4.13.2.

While the previous update to 4.12 solved the issue, this new update breaks the connection.
