@trepik I might be able to take a look at the Cassandra breakage, but I thought you said on #1183877 that upstream was moving away from thrift.

@ctubbsii Yeah sure thrift should disappear from cassandra, but in version 4.0. As soon as it is removed in upstream I'm gonna merge it. But until then the build will fail, not to our liking.
@trepik I opened #1435948 to address the FTBFS for cassandra. It turns out, it builds on 0.10.0 fine, but the build isn't triggering the thrift code generation ant target.
