wfm - desktop 32GB Intel i7-4770 CPU and laptop 16GB Intel i7-3610QM CPU
I installed the following packages: kernel-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm kernel-core-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm kernel-modules-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm kernel-modules-extra-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm kernel-devel-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm kernel-tools-libs-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm (--force) kernel-tools-4.9.4-201.fc25.x86_64.rpm (--force) Booting into kernel-4.9.4-201.fc25 does not resolve the problem of duplicate displays on the dual monitors and the individual monitors unrecognised that has occurred since kernel 4.9.3-200.fc25.x86_64 Graphics: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tonga PRO [Radeon R9 285/380] (rev f1).
Works for me, x86_64 work station
No regressions noted on x86_64 Ivy Bridge and i686 Diamondville. (I was also running kernel-4.9.4-200.fc25 for the previous day before this version, with no issues.)
@g6awk @dhgutteridge @nivag
What graphics cards do you have? Are you using dual monitors? The problem may be specific to amdgpu with these kernels.
@scp: both the laptops I tested have Intel graphics, and neither are connected to a second monitor.
@g6awk @dhgutteridge @nivag Have you also checked your display settings in your System Settings to see if the monitor display is correctly identified or does it just say "default"?
@scp: my displays are simply called "Built-in display" under Gnome.
Personal LAMP and mail server running GNOME. All OK.

works for me on T450s
Works great on X220! LGTM! =)
I have realized that the problem is not with the kernel but with missing firmware for amdgpu/tonga_k_smc.bin. Kernels including and greater than 4.9.3-200.fc25.x86_64 attempt to load this and fail because it is not included in the last fedora firmware update (September 2016). The remedy is to install the testing firmware update: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-2adfb69272 Full report and remedy here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1413689 So this kernel now works for me.
Works for me
no regressions noted
Works on T450s, Atom based server and VM. I did not test whether bug #1412426 was fixed yet, but no regression when compared to 4.9.3 that I can see.
