works for me
Very nice. No regressions seen.
Generic udev rule for Huawei devices seems to work much better now. My E3372, which didn't work automatically with usb_modeswitch-2.3.0-1.fc24, is switched properly.
Hey I am running F24 on Macbook Pro , I was not able to connect my dongle then I tried to get this update by
sudo dnf update ModemManager --enablerepo=updates-testing
andrebooted
my system yet I have the same error dongle connection doesn't show up.Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E398 LTE/UMTS/GSM Modem/Networkcard
, that is my dongle@farhaan
This update includes usb_modeswitch+data and two libs. According to your comment, you only updated ModemManager package.
Please make sure to fetch all packages.
@samoht0 cna you please list all of them ? that will make it easy for me to download. :)
sudo dnf update ModemManager usb_modeswitch-data usb_modeswitch libmbim libqmi --enablerepo=updates-testing
this is what I ran and downloaded but still the same condition.LGTM
Installing these packages, my Huawei broadband modem is now modeswitched correctly. The bad: the internal storage of both my own and my wifes Huawei smartphone are no longer recognised as such, but does get "modeswitched". Reverting to stock F24 packages pr today resolves the problem immediately. So while there is one problem fixed, a new one is introduced.
Works fine, Huawei E160
nothing seems broken so far. :)
Works for me.
Thanks a lot people with new update dongle seems to work.
Compiled and installed it on CentOS 7.2 which had the same issue.... And now it works.
karma: +1
no regressions noted
This update has reached 14 days in testing and can be pushed to stable now if the maintainer wishes
worked find, no regressions
Long enough in testing, I think.
According to feedback Huawei modems and suspend/resume seem to work fine now. There is one possible regressions with Huawei smartphones reported (storage access), but feedback lacks details and it looks like nobody else has such hardware to test/confirm this.
works for me
no regression noted
