After updating today, I've rebooted into a black screen (one monitor was black, second one reported out of range), and journal said:

In the update, the only related packages were linux-firmware and hwdata. I've seen this issue twice, but couldn't reproduce it anymore after that. I'm running Thinkpad T450s docked with a closed lid and two external displays attached.
I'm not sure linux-firmware is the problem or if it was just a fluke. I'm giving negative karma solely to disable karma autopush and make sure this is not pushed too fast. @jwboyer, let's keep this in testing for a while.
