This fixes missing ::1 address on a loopback device for me (introduced in 4.0.5). I also tried running it on a machine with radeon card and DisplayPort monitor (to reproduce bug 1236423), but I see no issues. @tuna: If this is not the first kernel update where this is broken, it does not make sense to vote -1, because it does not make it worse (but it improves other things).
