I'm sorry about that but I just realised the update "not working" was due to using firejail (https://firejail.wordpress.com/ ). After disabling firejail for Firefox, websites are displayed as expected. So it seems the firejail profile in question needs to be modified in order to work with Firefox 60...
Firefox does not display any websites after the upgrade (tested with different Firefox profiles).
