Without more information, this is difficult to fix, but having just upgraded successfully myself, I suspect that you tried to update only one binary package (let's suppose gnome-desktop3), whereas you need to update gnome-desktop4 and any -devel subpackages at the same time, as the packages must all match versions.

There was a change in VTE to how line height is measured: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vte/-/issues/347 and there is some ongoing discussion, so that behaviour may change in the future. In short, the line height is now taken from the font metrics, and a fallback font (such as would be common with CJK locales) affects the calculated line height.
