The game is intended to be an backend engine for xboard. It doesn't come with its own graphic menu. If xboard is installed it will register itself in xboard.
If you want to try out the plaintext version (based on curse), invoke gnushogi -C
. Your pieces are on the lower side. Input NaMb
(N and M stands for columns (numeric), a and b stands for rows (alphabetic)) to move your piece.
